RMIT communications elective in 3d modeling + rapid prototyping, Semester 1 2010.
fabulously fabricated is an undergraduate elective subject at RMIT University’s School of Architecture and Design. This is an active modeling and fabrication studio in which the full three hour class will be spent working through various modeling and rapid prototyping (RP) techniques. The aim of the subject is to demystify RP technologies and techniques so that students will, at the end of the semester, be completely comfortable with laser cutting, 3d printing, 3d scanning, and CAD CAM routing. The class will be fast paced, encouraging students to use RP models to test ideas about pattern, scale and materiality.
