Jewellery Design

“Flow” command

From blender, save the column design in .obj file and import with rhino.

Use the “flow” command to make jewellery design with the column. There are few steps before using the flow command.

In rhino, click on the column and draw a bounding box.

Then draw a 50 x 50 x 150 box to scale up or scale down the column into the right size.

After scaling up the column, draw a straight line in the middle of it.

To do the flow, draw a circle, helix, spiral or whatever shape you like next to the column.

Select the column, type “flow”, change stretch=no to stretch=yes from the bar above, then click on the straight line in the middle of the column, and lastly select the circle.

I played with the different flows of the column by applying it on different shapes.
