Hybrid with Natasha: Light Box Development

After attaching the final side to the light box, we covered the insides with blue rice paper to add a bit of colour, and to hide the marks of the laser-cutting on the inside edges.

We then needed to support the light fitting, so we created cross-supports to attach the light to the box.

A small mousehole was then drilled into one side, through which the light cord would fit. This would enable the lightbox to sit straight on any surface it is on.

The glue on the edges caused a bit of a problem when the light is lit up because it is so thick. The thickness of the acrylic meant a very strong glue needed to be used.
